Ingredients

- 2 cups (or almost 1 lb) of green lentils
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 small can of tomato sauce
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- 1/4 teaspoon of red pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon of paprika
Preparation
- Thoroughly wash the lentils. Place in a pot and add 5 glasses of water. Bring to a boil and then lower the heat to a simmer.
- Mix in onions, tomato sauce, olive oil and spices.
- Cook over low heat for an hour and a half.
- Pour into soup bowls and enjoy. Makes almost 8 servings.
